Terms and conditions of sale
All prices are expressed in Euros, and include 19% German Value Added Tax, and include glass packaging and cartons.Prices for sparkling wine (Sekt) include German sparkling wine tax of approx. 1 Euro per bottle.
There is no charge for delivery of orders of a minimum value of 160,00 Euros within Germany, including assorted orders.
For orders of less than 160,00 Euros that are to be despatched/delivered, we charge a flat rate of 7,00 Euros for freight and insurance per consignment.
Wines despatched will be packed in the largest possible packaging unit/carton (cartons available for 6, 12, 18 and 20 bottles). On request wines can also be packed in smaller units, any additional costs incurred through this are for the customer‘s account
If you collect the wines from our cellar yourself, we will apply a freight discount of 0,20 per bottle, for orders of at least 24 bottles.
This offer is subject to availability, and subject to prior sale.
If a wine of our range is sold out, we reserve the right to supply a similar wine of equivalent quality.
Crystalline deposits in the bottle are a natural occurrence, and are not recognized as grounds for complaint.
Complaints of cork taint will only be accepted if the full faulty bottle is returned.
If there is a breakage when the wine is delivered to you, or there is anything missing in the consignment, please have the delivering freight company confirm this in writing on the freight papers, so that the damages can be replaced.
The current price list (which is published in the fall each year) supercedes all previous price lists, which are null and void with immediate effect.
Goods in saleable condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery without any reasons being stated.
Payment is due immediately by cash or credit card, or by bank transfer – nett 30 days, or 3 per cent discount for immediate transfer, or 2 per cent discount for transfer within 8 days.
In case of any dispute, the place of payment and delivery is Bernkastel-Wehlen, Germany.
The goods remain our property until paid for in full.
